Summary
[Publisher's abstract] Let's go back in time 150 years. We are half of the nineteenth century and the world does not yet know anything about the Internet. But an elite of first class intellectuals already understood perfectly that the planet's future lies in ability to communicate between one country and another, overcoming geographical, linguistic and political boundaries that separate people from one another. Not communicating via email, given the times, but with the telegrams written in Morse. At the origin of this great technology project --which in essence contains the whole philosophy the Great Network of today and which will involve all European superpowers of the nineteenth century-- lies a a tiny little country: Switzerland.
